Horizon pulls chocolate milk from shelves after spoilage complaints

Horizon Organic Dairy voluntarily recalls about 53,760 cases of its 1% Chocolate Milk sold nationwide in 12- and 18-pack 8-ounce cartons after customers reported bloated cartons and an unpleasant smell, taste, or texture. The recall began Aug. 7; affected 12-packs (UPC 742365002700) have best-by dates Jan. 28–Feb. 3, 2027, and 18-packs (UPC 742365208867) have best-by dates Jan. 31–Feb. 2, 2027. Consumers should discard the products and can call 1-888-494-3020 for refunds or more information as the investigation into the cause proceeds with FDA awareness."
