A Wendy's customer is suing the fast food chain after being hospitalized due to a contaminated burger. The plaintiff alleges that the burger was contaminated due to poor handwashing procedures and that food was not properly washed, inspected, or ensured to be safe. The customer suffered from severe sepsis, E.coli, septic shock, cerebral hemorrhage, and acute GI bleeding, resulting in long-term health issues and staggering medical bills. The couple is seeking more than $75,000 in damages.
