Costco recalls frozen fruit over hepatitis A contamination risk.

Wawona Frozen Foods has issued a voluntary recall of its year-old, 4-pound packages of Organic DayBreak Blend frozen fruit, which were distributed to Costco Wholesale stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah, and Washington from April 15, 2022, to June 26, 2022, due to possible contamination with Hepatitis A. The recall notice urges consumers to check their freezers for the recalled blend, not to consume it, and either discard the product or return it to the store for a refund. The CDC states that Hepatitis A is very contagious and can cause liver failure and even death in rare cases.
