Hepatitis A concerns prompt frozen fruit recalls at Walmart, Costco, and other stores.

The FDA has issued a recall on frozen strawberries distributed to stores in 32 states, including Illinois and Missouri, due to concerns over Hepatitis A contamination. Four companies have issued a recall of select products, including Walmart's Great Value and Costco's Simply Nature and Made With brands. Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection caused by the Hepatitis A virus, and symptoms include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, jaundice, dark urine, and pale stool. So far, the outbreak has infected nine people and hospitalized three. People are urged not to eat the frozen strawberries and to throw them away.
