Mass Guanciale Recall Tied to Listeria Risk Hits U.S. Suppliers

The USDA FSIS is recalling more than 15,000 pounds of ready-to-eat guanciale pork jowl imported from Italy after a listeria-positive test. The products were shipped to distributors and food-service locations across Illinois, Michigan, Idaho, California, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Texas. No illnesses have been reported. Look for establishment number IT 1937 L CE and lot 263311US with best-by date 05.16.27 on labeled packaging and discard or return if found.
