Moderna and Merck have reported positive three-year data on their experimental cancer vaccine combined with Keytruda, showing improved survival rates and long-lasting efficacy in patients with deadly skin cancer. The combination therapy significantly reduced the risk of cancer recurrence and spread, with a 96% overall survival rate after 2½ years. The vaccine, using mRNA technology, is custom-built based on a patient's tumor analysis and aims to train the immune system to target cancer mutations.
