Salmonella recall hits Walmart and Aldi frozen pizzas

The USDA FSIS issued a health alert recalling multiple FDA-regulated dairy-containing ingredients used in store-brand frozen pizzas sold at Aldi and Walmart due to possible salmonella contamination. Recalled products include Mama Cozzi’s pizzas at Aldi and several Great Value items at Walmart, plus other brands such as Culinary Circle, with best-by dates in February 2026. An updated list on May 1 expanded the recall to additional Great Value and Chicken Bacon Ranch varieties; customers are advised to discard or return affected products. FSIS noted no confirmed illnesses to date, and Walmart says it has restricted sales and is investigating with suppliers.
