UPS and Teamsters Reach Agreement, Workers' Jobs Restored

United Parcel Service (UPS) has agreed to reinstate around 35 workers in Louisville who had recently joined the Teamsters union and were laid off. The Teamsters had threatened to strike in retaliation for the dismissals, but a resolution was reached between the two parties. UPS had challenged the workers' ability to organize with the union, but an arbitrator ruled in favor of the workers. The agreement also applies to similar workers in Chicago.
