"New Year's Day 2024: Comprehensive Guide to Store and Restaurant Openings"
TL;DR
On New Year's Day 2024, many retail stores, grocery chains, and pharmacies will be open with modified hours, while others like Aldi, Trader Joe's, and Costco will be closed. Target, Walmart, JCPenney, Macy's, and other major retailers will operate on holiday schedules. Whole Foods, Kroger, Wegmans, Safeway, and Albertsons will be open, but pharmacy hours may vary. Postal services and most banks will be closed in observance of the holiday, and there will be no trading on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. Consumers are advised to check with local stores for specific hours.
