Portland yard buried under hundreds of tires prompts investigation

A southeast Portland property was inundated with hundreds of dumped tires, forming walls six feet high that made the lot difficult to access. Authorities from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Metro, and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality are investigating who dumped them and why.
