Severe storms cause widespread power outages in Ohio and West Virginia.

More than 9,000 homes in Jefferson County, Kentucky, are without power after severe storms hit the area on Friday night. A high wind warning has been issued for the area until 4 p.m. on Saturday. LG&E/KU has 40 crew centers on standby to handle outages from Friday's storms, focusing on the western and central parts of Kentucky first. Counties in southern Indiana are also under the high wind warning, where Duke Energy is taking similar precautions. A possible tornado hit Whiteland, Indiana, causing severe damage to homes and businesses. At least three people died in Sullivan County, Indiana, due to the severe weather.
