"Biden Secures United Steelworkers Union Endorsement for 2024 Election"
TL;DR
The United Steelworkers Union has endorsed President Joe Biden, citing his support for retirement security and affordable healthcare as key factors. This adds to Biden's labor support in the presidential race, with the AFL-CIO, United Auto Workers, and several other unions already endorsing him. The endorsement comes after Biden voiced opposition to the planned sale of U.S. Steel to Nippon Steel of Japan, a move that could impact unionized workers and has implications for the key swing state of Pennsylvania.
