"Twitter's Secret VIP List Boosts Views for 35 Celebs, Including AOC, LeBron, and MrBeast"
TL;DR
Twitter reportedly has a secret VIP list of about 35 users, including politicians, celebrities, and journalists, who are given preferential treatment and increased visibility on the platform. The list was created to monitor how changes to Twitter's internal ranking systems would affect their visibility, allowing engineers to tweak any offending code. The list includes names like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Joe Biden, Ben Shapiro, and Elon Musk, who was displeased with the outcomes of the project and had the algorithm changed to exponentially boost only his numbers.
