Alibaba to Launch AI Chatbot Rival to ChatGPT in Response to China's New Regulations.

Alibaba has unveiled its generative AI model, Tongyi Qianwen, which will be integrated into the company's apps, starting with the workplace messaging app DingTalk and the voice assistant Tmall Genie. The model will also be opened up to clients to build their own customized large language models. Meanwhile, China's cyberspace regulator has released draft measures for managing such services, requiring firms to submit security assessments to authorities prior to public launches and ensuring content follows "core socialist values" in addition to laws.
