Apptronik's Apollo: The Revolutionary Humanoid Robot

Austin-based robotics startup Apptronik has unveiled its latest humanoid robot, named Apollo, which is designed to handle physically demanding tasks and work alongside humans. Standing at 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, Apollo can lift 55 pounds and has a four-hour battery life. The robot features approachable design elements, such as digital panels on its chest for communication and intentional movements. Initially focused on logistics, Apptronik aims to make Apollo a versatile robot capable of various tasks, with a long-term vision of exploring the moon, Mars, and beyond. The company plans to be in full commercial production by the end of 2024.
