Elon Musk Confirms Tesla Robotaxi Event Delay, Stock Drops

Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla's Robotaxi event has been delayed from August to October due to a requested design change and additional features to be showcased. The delay is not surprising given Musk's history of optimistic timelines. The Robotaxi service aims to function like a combination of Airbnb and Uber, allowing Tesla owners to add their vehicles to the fleet when not in use. The Full Self-Driving software, still in beta, requires human oversight and faces regulatory scrutiny. Tesla has not announced a new date for the event.
