Lawsuit filed against Amazon for concealing facial recognition use in New York stores.

Amazon is being sued in a class-action lawsuit for not informing customers at its New York City Go convenience stores that they were being monitored by facial recognition technology. New York is the only major American city to require businesses to post signs if they're tracking customers' biometric information. The lawsuit alleges that Amazon only recently put up signs informing New York customers of its use of facial recognition technology, more than a year after the disclosure law went into effect. Amazon has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
