According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), over a quarter of jobs in OECD countries are at high risk of being automated due to the emerging artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. The OECD's 2023 Employment Outlook reveals that jobs with the highest risk of automation make up 27% of the labor force on average, with eastern European countries being the most exposed. A survey conducted by the OECD also found that three out of five workers fear losing their jobs to AI in the next decade. However, two-thirds of workers already using AI reported that automation had made their jobs less dangerous or tedious. The OECD emphasizes the need for policy actions to help workers prepare for AI-related changes and ensure their rights are protected.
