Porsche Cayenne Electric Fires Up Fast-Charging, Nearly Hits 400 kW in Real‑World Test

Jalopnik tester Chris Tsui put the base Cayenne Electric through a real-world DC fast-charging session and found it can charge from about 13% to 80% in 16 minutes, with peak observed around 349 kW and speeds around 270 kW as it neared 80%. The 85.2 kWh fill cost CAD 68 (~$50 USD). Porsche lists a 390–400 kW max, but the test did not see that peak; still, the Cayenne Electric sits among the fastest-charging EVs and demonstrates the practicality of high-kW charging, aided by its dual cooling system. 400 kW chargers remain relatively rare in North America.
