The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified nine additional incidents involving Waymo's self-driving vehicles, raising concerns about their safety. This follows an earlier investigation into 22 reports of the vehicles exhibiting potentially unsafe driving behaviors, including 17 collisions. NHTSA has requested detailed information and video footage from Waymo by June 11. The investigation could lead to a recall if the vehicles are deemed to pose an unreasonable safety risk.
