Houston Man Arrested After Sneaking Onto United Flight With Fake Boarding Pass

A 25-year-old Houston man, Abdulrahman Oriyomi, was arrested after allegedly using a fraudulent boarding pass to try to board United Airlines Flight 469 from Houston to Los Angeles on May 18. Surveillance shows him bypassing staff, boarding once the line was distracted, and then hiding in the cabin bathroom as the full flight filled; a passenger alerted a flight attendant and the plane returned to the gate for checks. The boarding pass was found fraudulent; Oriyomi gave the alias “Mr. Lopez” but no such passenger existed, and the flight was delayed about three hours. He faces a felony charge of intentionally impairing or interrupting the operation of a critical infrastructure facility and is being held for bail review.
