Taiwan indicts nine in alleged AI server export scheme to China

Taiwanese prosecutors indicted nine people, including an employee of Nvidia’s Taiwan unit and two from Super Micro, in a scheme to illegally export about 130 B300 AI servers to China via forged end-user documents, with 74 shipped to Chinese customers and 56 intended for Japan but halted by customs in Keelung. Eight defendants face breach of trust and document forgery charges; a ninth was charged in a related funds-siphoning case. Prosecutors said the defendants were fully aware of internal controls, highlighting Taiwan’s tightening export rules amid U.S. restrictions on tech transfers to China.
