United denies free-flight-change claim tied to Trump airport naming

United Airlines says it does not offer free ticket changes simply because of an airport’s name or three-letter code, clarifying after an internal memo suggested passengers could switch to a nearby hub for free if they didn’t want to fly into the Trump-named West Palm Beach airport; the airline called the memo poorly worded and inaccurate, and Palm Beach International Airport will keep the PBI code until the change to DJT takes effect.
