Bob Iger Urges Swift Resolution to SAG-AFTRA Strike Talks

Disney CEO Bob Iger expressed optimism that talks with the performers' union, SAG-AFTRA, could be progressing towards a deal, as the impact of the strike on the company's business has been negligible so far. However, if the strike continues, it could become significant and affect the summer film releases. Disney reported a $387 million loss for its direct-to-consumer unit in the fiscal fourth quarter but added 7 million subscribers to Disney+. The company's stock has fallen about 5 percent year-to-date. Other major Hollywood companies, including Netflix, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery, have also been affected by the strikes, incurring costs and delaying releases.
