Hollywood Business Managers Challenge Noncompete Agreements

Business managers at NKSFB, one of the largest business management firms in Hollywood, are suing to invalidate noncompete clauses in their management agreement with parent company Focus Financial Partners. The managers claim that the noncompete provisions are illegal under California law and are seeking a declaratory judgment and injunction. The lawsuit follows a breach of contract suit filed by KSFB and Mickey Segal against Focus and Goldman Sachs in March.
