Netflix Eyes Radford Studios Purchase as Bronson Lease Nears End

Netflix is near a deal to buy Radford Studio Center in Studio City from Hackman Capital Partners as it ends its 10-year lease at Sunset Bronson Studios. The 22-stage Radford campus, long used by hits such as Seinfeld and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, was bought in 2021 for about $1.85B by Hackman and Square Mile, who later unveiled a $1B upgrade plan that never materialized. With the Bronson lease expiring later this year, Netflix views the acquisition as a strategic move at the right price, though the deal would hinge on financing after Hackman reportedly defaulted on the mortgage earlier this year.
