Savannah Guthrie's Sudden Today Exit Sparks Celebrity Mystery
TL;DR
Today host Savannah Guthrie abruptly left Wednesday’s show 90 minutes into the four-hour broadcast, weeks after returning from a hiatus to help locate her kidnapped mother, Nancy Guthrie. Co-anchor Craig Melvin said she’d be back tomorrow with no explanation, as the Nancy Guthrie case—in Tucson since Jan. 31—continues to draw FBI attention; Guthrie returned the next day without addressing the exit.
