Transgender Documentary Star Koko Da Doll Murdered in Atlanta

Koko Da Doll, a transgender woman who appeared in the documentary "Kokomo City," was shot and killed in Atlanta. Police are investigating whether the shooting, along with the deaths of two other transgender women earlier this year, should be classified as hate crimes. Koko's family said she was proud of who she was and wanted to change her life around and help people. The Human Rights Campaign has tracked at least 38 transgender people killed nationwide in 2022.
