Crowbar Showdown Ends The Boys Finale, Gen V Spin-off Hints Loom
TL;DR
In the series finale of The Boys, Homelander is de-powered and killed by Butcher with a crowbar, but Butcher then goes rogue to unleash a supe-killing virus; Hughie stops him by shooting him, leading to a bittersweet ending where MM remarries and takes in Ryan, Kimiko finds peace with a new dog, and Hughie and Annie prepare to raise a child named Robin. Stan Edgar returns as Vought interim CEO, while the world contemplates Gen V Season 3 and potential spinoffs that would have continued the story, with Kripke teasing future paths for the Gen V kids and new threats. The ending remains hopeful yet costly, leaving room for more stories in the series’ universe.
