Disney Parks Plot Reimagined: Villains Land, Monstropolis and More Revealed at D23

D23 revealed major upcoming Disney park expansions: a Villains Land at Magic Kingdom featuring Maleficent’s fortress coaster and a dark boat ride, two Cars-themed attractions, and a new Piston Peak area; Tropical Americas additions at Animal Kingdom including Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent and Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto; expanded Avengers Campus at California Adventure with Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab opening in 2028; a new Monstropolis land at Hollywood Studios with a Monsters, Inc. show and a door coaster; a Coco ride at California Adventure; a modernized Carousel of Progress with new voice cast; Disney Cruise Line’s new mid-size ship class led by Disney Believe; and a full Tomorrowland overhaul at Disneyland.
