TL;DR

Brad Bird, the creator of the first two Incredibles films, will not direct Incredibles 3 but will write the script, with Peter Sohn taking over as director due to Bird's scheduling conflicts. The film is expected around 2027 or 2028, and despite the change in director, Pixar's collaborative filmmaking process will ensure a high-quality production. The Incredibles franchise remains popular, with the sequel nearly doubling the original's box office.
