Sunny Hostin's Eclipse and Climate Change Claims Spark Controversy on 'The View'
TL;DR
"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin claimed that Monday's solar eclipse, Friday's earthquake, and the expected cicada breeding season are caused by climate change, prompting pushback from her co-hosts. Hostin's theory was refuted by Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, who pointed out that earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change and that the eclipse was a predictable event. Other individuals, including a U.S. Senate candidate, have also faced criticism for similar claims linking the earthquake to climate change.
