TL;DR

'Materialists' is a sharp, serious social romantic drama set in New York, exploring love, money, and modern dating through the lens of a professional matchmaker, with standout performances by Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal, and a tone that blends wit with sobering realism, making it a unique take on the rom-com genre.
