Paper Tiger to Open NYFF, Headlined by Driver and Johansson

James Gray’s crime drama Paper Tiger, starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson and Miles Teller, will open the 64th New York Film Festival on Sept. 25. Set in 1986 New York, it follows two brothers entwined with the Russian mob as one plots a get-rich-quick scheme; the Cannes premiere drew a seven-minute standing ovation, and Gray and the cast will attend NYFF’s opening night, with tickets going on sale Sept. 15.
