Director James Mangold drew inspiration from classic Hollywood films for the latest Indiana Jones film, including Barbara Stanwyck's character in Preston Sturges' "The Lady Eve" for Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character, Helena. Helena is a conwoman archaeologist who contrasts with Indy's idealism about the job. Waller-Bridge was interested in the character's transformation from a girl next door to a sophisticated, cutthroat woman. "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" hits theaters on June 30.
