Warner Bros Bets on Siren Head as Duffield Directs from Cregger Script
TL;DR
Warner Bros. has acquired a Siren Head feature, hiring Brian Duffield to direct from a script co-written with Zach Cregger after a five-way bidding war. The package is produced by Duffield, Cregger, Roy Lee, Andrew Childs, and Scott Glassgold, with Trevor Henderson (the IP creator) serving as an executive producer. Siren Head, based on Henderson’s viral horror meme about a towering predator, has gained mainstream attention, aided by creator-driven coverage from YouTuber Markiplier; Duffield’s upcoming Whalefall and Cregger’s own Resident Evil project are noted in the context of the deal, which Deadline broke.
