WGA Accuses AMPTP of Internal Struggles in Labor Day Rally Message

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) leader, Chris Keyser, addressed the ongoing strike against Hollywood studios in a Labor Day video, emphasizing the importance of labor strength and the need for resolution on key issues. The strike, which began on May 2, has forced major productions to halt. Keyser called out the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for their internal bargaining and urged them to offer more than usual. The WGA is seeking protection from threats that caused the strike in the first place. The strike reached its four-month mark, and the AMPTP's latest proposal was denounced by members. Keyser called upon workers across the U.S. to stand in solidarity and carry the flag of hope on this Labor Day.
