Key points

• The fall equinox occurs on September 22, 2026, at 8:05 p.m. ET, initiating Libra season.
• TODAY.com identifies Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, and Pisces as the four luckiest signs during this period.
• YourTango highlights Libra, Aquarius, Leo, and Aries as signs attracting abundance on September 23.
• CBC advises all signs to nurture connections and set boundaries as the Sun enters Libra.
• The transit emphasizes air sign energy, fostering cooperation, clarity, and fair decision-making.

Background

This event follows a series of astrological shifts in late 2026. In August, a Jupiter-Saturn trine brought luck to Gemini, Sagittarius, and Capricorn, while a Capricorn Moon in September helped Taurus, Virgo, and Scorpio reclaim ease. The fall equinox is part of a busy autumn sky featuring three full moons and significant meteor showers, including the Geminids in December.

How outlets are covering it

Outlets differ on which signs benefit most. TODAY.com, citing astrologer Lisa Stardust, focuses on Gemini (collaboration), Libra (romance), Aquarius (optimism), and Pisces (career risks). YourTango, via Aria Gmitter, selects Libra, Aquarius, Leo, and Aries, emphasizing financial opportunities and visibility. CBC offers a broader weekly outlook, advising all signs to balance social connections with boundary-setting, particularly noting the risk of people-pleasing during the Sun-Neptune opposition.

Why it matters

The start of Libra season signals a cultural shift toward partnership and diplomacy. For individuals, this period offers a strategic window to resolve conflicts, launch collaborative projects, or reassess personal boundaries, as the astrological emphasis on balance encourages fair and mindful decision-making.

What to watch

The next major astrological event is the full moon in Aries on September 26, 2026, which CBC suggests will help individuals gain insight into their true intentions. Additionally, Mars enters Leo on September 27, boosting self-confidence and romantic energy for the coming weeks.
