Boston's Fourth of July celebration is being pushed back due to extreme heat, with Esplanade gates opening at 4 p.m. instead of noon. The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will feature Lainey Wilson, Chance the Rapper, Trombone Shorty and Megan Hilty, ending with a 9:15 p.m. fireworks show, as officials emphasize heat safety and maintain security checkpoints for the event that marks America’s 250th birthday.
