Iconic Blood, Sweat & Tears Frontman David Clayton-Thomas Dies at 84

David Clayton-Thomas, the Canadian-born vocalist who led Blood, Sweat & Tears at the height of their fame, died peacefully in Toronto at age 84. He sang on hits like 'Spinning Wheel,' 'You've Made Me So Very Happy,' and 'And When I Die,' and helped the 1968 debut album reach No. 1 and win the 1970 Grammy for Album of the Year. After leaving the group in 1972, he pursued a solo career and philanthropy, fronted reunions, and remained active in music; a memorial concert for Peacebuilders Canada is planned. He is survived by his daughters.
