David Clayton-Thomas, the Canadian frontman of Blood, Sweat & Tears, has died at 84 in Toronto; a Grammy-winning vocalist known for You've Made Me So Very Happy and Spinning Wheel, he helped shape jazz-rock and sold more than 40 million records; rising from street life in Toronto to Woodstock, he joined BS&T in 1968, contributing to their chart-topping, Grammy-winning self-titled album and a string of hits including And When I Die.
