Jury clears Ed Sheeran of copyright infringement in Marvin Gaye case.

A jury in New York has ruled that Ed Sheeran did not steal key components of Marvin Gaye's classic 1970s tune "Let's Get It On" when he created his hit song "Thinking Out Loud." The verdict came after a two-week trial in which Sheeran defended himself against a lawsuit by the heirs of songwriter Ed Townsend, who created the 1973 soul classic with Gaye. Sheeran thanked the jury for "making the decision that will help protect the creative process of songwriters."
