TL;DR

Vice President JD Vance will make his first in-studio appearance on The View next week to promote his new book Communion while the show is under an FCC equal-time rule probe. ABC has pushed back on the investigation as a potential First Amendment chill, with the White House and co-host Joy Behar among critics. Vance’s appearance will be in-studio to discuss headlines and his book, marking him as the third sitting vice president to appear on The View after Biden and Harris.
