Prince William's NYC Trip: Cancelled Meeting and Memorable Gifts for His Kids
TL;DR
Prince William's trip to New York City, where he attended the United Nations General Assembly and revealed the finalists for the Earthshot Prize, faced criticism after his meeting with the city's mayor, Eric Adams, was canceled. As a backup plan, William visited an FDNY firehouse and met with the FDNY Commissioner. Twitter users expressed embarrassment for William and criticized his attempt to overshadow Prince Harry's popularity. The hashtag #WorkshyWilly, criticizing William's work ethic, trended on Twitter. Adams' snub towards William is notable given his previous defense of Harry and Meghan Markle during a car chase incident.
