NBC Nightly News Tops ABC in Key Demo as CBS Falls Short

For the week of Aug. 3, NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas led ABC World News Tonight in Adults 25-54 by about 26,000 viewers (NBC 1.065M vs. ABC 1.039M), while World News Tonight remained the overall audience leader with about 8.34 million total viewers. CBS Evening News fell below 4 million viewers (about 3.913M) and 514K in the 25-54 demo. NBC was the only network to show week‑over‑week growth in both total viewers (up 1%) and the demo (up 12%), with World News Tonight rising 2% in total viewers but dipping 4% in the demo, and CBS down slightly in viewership. YoY increases were reported for all three, though Nightly News’ figures reflect a three-day sample vs. four days for the others.
