Diddy Defamation Case Sees Lawyers Withdraw Over Unpaid Fees

Attorneys from Sher Tremonte LLP have moved to withdraw from Sean “Diddy” Combs’ $100 million defamation suit, citing that Combs is more than six months behind on fees and that there has been a total breakdown in cooperation and communication. Combs, via a spokesperson, says the split stems from unapproved charges and is a business matter. Tremonte, however, says the firm zealously represented him and denies overcharging. Combs is currently serving a 50‑month federal sentence for prostitution-related convictions, with an anticipated release in 2028.
