Man in his 50s dies after medical emergency at Burning Man festival

A man in his mid-50s died after suffering a medical emergency at Burning Man in Nevada. He received lifesaving treatment on-site and was pronounced dead at the festival’s emergency center; the cause of death has not yet been released and his identity is being withheld pending family notification. Burning Man, which runs through Sept. 7 and draws about 80,000 attendees to the 3,400-acre Black Rock Desert site, also faced weather disruptions, including rain and dust, during its 40th-year run.
