Mexican musician among victims in grisly killings; two suspects arrested

A Mexican musician, Jonathan Meléndez of the indie band Camilo Séptimo, his four-month-pregnant wife Ana Paula, their 3-year-old daughter, their nanny Aleida Romero Victorio, and a dog were found dead in an upscale Mexico City–area apartment. A 6-year-old boy survived. Two men have been arrested in connection with the multiple homicide, which authorities say occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. Investigators say the suspects exploited Meléndez’s relationship to enter the home, with several victims found with hands bound and the dog tied.
