Airlight uncovers the Great Pyramid’s subtle, eight-sided illusion

New aerial photography and photogrammetry reveal that the Great Pyramid’s four faces each have a central groove that, in certain light, makes the structure appear eight-sided. The illusion comes from the exposed core and centuries of casing removal, not from a deliberate eight-faced design, leaving the pyramid’s history as a complex mix of original masonry and later alterations.
