"9/11 Exhibit at CDC Explores Lingering Health Effects of Terror Attacks"

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has opened a new exhibition at the David J. Sencer CDC Museum, in partnership with the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program and the 9/11 community, to raise awareness about the lingering health effects of the 9/11 attacks. The exhibition focuses on the physical and mental health conditions experienced by nearly 80,000 people exposed to toxins, debris, and smoke from the collapse of the twin towers. The WTC Health Program provides free treatment and ongoing research for 9/11 responders and survivors, with 900 residents in Georgia currently being monitored or treated. The exhibition will run until April 2024 and is also available online.
